Final Outcome – (Attempted) Video Essay
For my final iteration I choose the method: HIJACKING
I felt there is an interesting relationship (and tensions) between:
+ the passing of time – how the collection images have evolved when searched today
+ how thee configuration of words used in search engines can radically change outcomes
With this I wanted to create some sort of timeline where the evolution of the changes of the collection where visible
The changes were determine by 4 factors a
- Search the title of each image
- Search the title – the word “costume design”
- Search the title + 2020
- Search the title + 2020 + Russia
I decided to add the date 2022: to see the difference in the collection 100 years after the creation of the collection.
Then I decided to add the word Russia because the origin of the collection and all images come from the Russian Ballet.
