I still didn’t have a content or a context where to work in.
Thinking about this led me to look into my background as both a content and a context.
With the content and context in mind, I started to re-frame my enquiry.
For my audience I decided to look into entities or networks as audiences, thinking of these as clients.
I also thought of ways to circulate the work and reach other potential audiences.
There are many ways/options on how to approach my latin hispanic background.
I decided to start by looking into language, specifically the structure of Spanish and how I use it.
I thought of “multi directionality” as a way of approaching the structure of the language.
As a concept it also links back to a lot of other topics and themes I had been working on.
This was the content I wrote for the publication.
I first decided to built a paper prototype of how the folding and the direction of the publication would move/work.
Before designing the publication I thought it was important to ask myself this question to define what would be the graphic language I would work with. And, how that language was coherent with the project.
